From all the pictures and the comments, the Boston Regional seems to be the coolest regional, with the LED curtains, light effects on the field, and THE BLUE MAN GROUP!!!!!!! It must have been exciting!

Light effects on the field? Did that affect IR performance? Either way it sounds like an exciting regional!

This is so awesome!
Having the Blue Man Group there is definitely a step in the right direction for promoting FIRST.

Also, I like how you can see that the liquid they use (I don't actually know what it is) is all over the field divider! Kudos goes out to all the volunteers who helped clean that up! hahaha.

It was super awesome. I had never seen a Blue Man Group performance before, and while this was a shortened show it was still extremely cool.

Did anyone get a good photo of Woodie rappelling?

Well the light effects weren't actually on the field, it was just red and blue spotlights on the driver stations, and FIRST logos being shined down to the sides.

We have been urging McGowan and Dicco to bring you guys up here....maybe if he hears it from the current team members he will listen haha

Well with McG retiring, I don't think that'll happen in the near future.

blue man group was amazing, and woodie repelling down from the ceiling made the crowd go nuts! :D

It was great to have the blue man group there b/c tons of people who normally wouldn't have come to a robotics competition showed up.

at the vegas regional, the teams went to blue man group, had a live band before saturday's opening ceremony, had an Elvis impersonator sing and take pictures with teams in the pits, had a jump rope master, and had Terry Fator from America's Got Talent perform

Its the same distance from chesepeake to NJ as it is from boston to NJ, I see no problem




This was definitely one for the ages. Overall the most well put together FIRST event I've ever been to. They made it a very enjoyable experience for everyone there.
