Last year we had 36 teams and sold out in August, so please register early. Spots will be temporarily held until June for regular teams that have attended Ramp Riot more than twice.

Mr. Ostrow,
If we want to volunteer, should we do as we have done in years' past... aka just email you with information?

Just a note:
We will keep a very active waiting list through mid-October. There is a lot of time before the fall and things change for some teams. We anticipate that approximately 4 teams will drop for one reason or another, and then be replaced by teams on the waiting list. This team changeover is about what happens each fall.
We also have one spot for a pre-rookie to drive our twin. If no pre-rookies enter the event, then that space would be converted to an open veteran spot.
So if you are interested in Ramp Riot 2008, please Continue to Register!
Thanks for all of your support!

To All Ramp Riot Teams:
We now have 5 teams on our waiting list.
If you currently hold a spot and your plans have changed please let us know so that we can free up that spot. I would like to give the teams on the waiting list an answer as soon as possible.
Special Request (NJ Teams Only)
It has come to our attention that there is a popular long weekend for NJ Teachers which coincides with Ramp Riot Weekend. Please review your calendar and make sure your team is able to attend. We did receive a cancellation from one team that did not realize the conflict. Hopefully everyone on the list is still able to attend.
Our goal is to stabilize the list by September 26th, so that we can notify waiting list teams and start printing various media items.
We are all looking forward to seeing everyone on November 8th.
Best of luck to everyone this Fall.

These seminars are open to all FIRST Teams regardless of whether you are registered. Please stop by to learn about the system and to root for your favorite teams at Ramp Riot.
Thanks to Team 103 for making this possible!
More details will follow.

We are still in need of volunteers for Ramp Riot 2008 next week.
Any help from mature students, college mentors or adults familiar with FRC, are welcome. Any help you can provide will be appreciated.
We need help in the following areas:
* Queuing Teams
* Assistant Referees
* Match Score Keepers
* Field Re-setters
* Robot Traffic Monitors
* “Girls in Gear” Tour Guides for Girl Scout Groups
(Girls from participating FRC & FTC Teams)
Each volunteer will receive a Ramp Riot T-shirt, morning and afternoon food service in our VIP lounge, as well as the appreciation of 36 dedicated FIRST teams.
If you wish to volunteer, please reply to 341forum@gmail.com. We will reply with your assignment, an event info pack, and our sincere appreciation. :)
Thanks very much for helping with Ramp Riot 2008.

its too bad its only for a day. it it was similar to the 3 day FIRST regional event, we would sign up.
How do you folks handle drayage/crates if we were to attend?
Im pretty sure you bring your own robot somehow. You can't ship your robot there. Last year, we put everything in the back of a trailer in the freezing cold, and drove it there from our school.

Unfortunately 1676 will be unable to make it this year, due to other school commitments and people being unable to come (due to those school commitments), or having to leave early. We hope to attend next year! Best of luck to all teams competing!

Hello all Ramp Riot Teams!
We would love to have all of your media by Oct. 31st so act now!
See you at Ramp Riot,
Kirsten Jahn
Team 341 Assistant Coach
Are you still accepting media? Because we have a few good photo's we would love to have in your video. Btw, thats a great idea. Get the attention of everyone before the competition starts.
I have one question too. Will you guys have a screen where the scores of the matches are posted? you did last year, but the stat screen was too blurry to read.
Due to a last minute withdraw, we are pleased to add team 2559.
Welcome to Ramp Riot! :)

Congratulations to all the teams who attended Ramp Riot 2008! You had some amazing matches out there and the energy you mustered on a rainy Saturday in November was flat out incredible.
I was the head referee today, and I fully expect that some people are not going to be happy about some of the calls, scores, and results of today's competition. Let me just say that without real-time scoring handhelds, Overdrive is probably the hardest game to officiate that FIRST has ever made. And with real-time (rather than static, end-of-game) scoring, discrepancies occur. Still, we did our best out there, and it was a pleasure to be a part of Ramp Riot 2008.
Working with the incredible group of mentors, students, and volunteers at these events is truly inspirational - thank you to all who participated in making Ramp Riot one of the premier offseason competitions in the nation!

Had a great time, and it is still one of my overall favorite events to attend. Can't wait till next year! Good luck to all teams in 2009 ;)
Thanks to 341 for hosting such an awesome event.
Thanks to 1727, 484, and 2528 for being such great alliance partners-without you, we never would have made it to the finals.
I'm glad I got to come back to this event. The last event of Overdrive- and what a great way to play it out!
1923 had such a great time. See you again next year, hopefully!

Again, thank you to 341 for hosting such an awesome off season event. It was a great way to end the year.
Thanks to 25 and 103 for choosing us, it was awesome to have a chance to play in the finals.
303 is looking forward to the future for 2009, and we hope that this was a stepping stone towards a great season.
We'll be there next year.
On behalf of MOE 365, I would like to thank Al Ostrow, all the 341 Daisy Volunteers, Rob Thate and Ron Karpinsky for putting on a great event. Thanks also to Team 103 for the Compact RIO presentation.
Thanks for Team 1403 for selecting us to go to elims and to Team 104 for completing our alliance.
It was a great Overdrive season and like all other FIRST games, it is time to put it to bed and look forward to what is to come in January.
Best of luck to all teams this season!

O, and Libby, sorry for pushing you into the wall in the last match, it's just our forks were about to break again and you were playing some really good defense. It definitely vented my anger. Thanks for being the punching bag!
See ya next year!
I had a TON of fun announcing at Ramp this year (I did the play by play in the morning and during eliminations....and some MC'ing in between :yikes:). This was my second time announcing at RR, and my second RR period, and I had a great time. Seeing everyone was amazing!!
Congratulations to the champions, finalists, and all the other eliminations alliances. We had one heck of an eliminations show!!
(Hopefully) See everyone next year at Ramp Riot 2009,
-DanDon

I just wanted to thank everyone that made Ramp Riot such a wonderful experience again this year. I will write back on Monday with an incredible list of volunteers, teams and companies that made Ramp Riot possible.
The event has grown so large that it would be impossible for Team 341 to do it alone. (When you see the list, you'll know what I mean.)
Once again on behalf of the students, parents, and coaches we sincerely thank everyone that helped with Ramp Riot this year.
I know I had a blast and we hope you did too.
