The alhambra robotics team now has it's own website. It is currently still in progress but feel free to look into it whenever you wish.

its spelled 'sponsors' (=
'calendar'
its kinda unfinished in the sense that there are a lot of 'titles' everywhere, as well as content which i cant see because im apparently not allowed to )=
you really need to get rid of the chat... its one of those things that appears gimmicky.

Freewebs is not a good choice. :(
no offence, but the site could use some major work. Here are my thoughts.
music from the web site is kinda lame.
the picture of the robot on the top of the page looks cool, but doesn't really apply to your team.
the FRC 2008 page has pretty much nothing. maybe you should include something about the game. (http://www.usfirst.org/uploadedFiles/Who/Media_Center/FRC_Assets/2008/FIRSTOverdrive_Description.pdf)
Check out a few good frc team websites to see examples of good websites:

thanks for all the great suggestions.
most of the pages are blank because the site is not finished yet.
i hope i made that clear in the thread. if i did not i am sorry. your suggestions are very helpful. I changed the site a little based on your suggestions. the finished product will be much different.

I would suggest buying a real site. Try to get someone to sponsor that if possible. Then, model it like the ones listed above.
I'd like to include my favorite website in there as well:

good luck

Don't Buy A Hosting Package Yet!!!! :ahh:
From what I've seen on your current site, you could get by with the package that's offered at www.USFirstHost.com (http://www.usfirsthost.com). Best of all, it's completely FREE to FIRST teams. It comes with free subdomain (ourteam.usfirsthost.net) but even if you wanted a custom domain name (www.ourteam.net) just pay for registration somewhere (e.g., www.godaddy.com (http://www.godaddy.com)) and have it point to his servers.
As for your site, I pretty much agree with the above suggestions so far. Also, what forum software are you implementing? About your Google Calendar, you may want to edit the permissions so that the Public can view it. Either that or you provided the wrong Share link from the Settings.
