SOAP currently hasn't posted any of Newton and only parts of Curie (http://video.soap108.com/2008/).

The Einstein videos are also missing, but I have obtained copies from another source.

Does anyone know if SOAP is planning to add these videos from the Championship?

If anyone has a copy of the video for match 23 on Newton, I would be most appreciative of a copy. We have video of most of our other matches, but not that one, which was probably our best performance.

Slightly off topic, but does anyone know what happened to the Semifinals on Archimedes? (that is the only time my team has gotten the chance to play against 71) Also match 73 and QF2-1 are incomplete.

Also, I don't recall seeing award videos anywhere...

We were also looking for the award video of the Delphi award so if anyone has that i'd love to know..

Seems a little odd that almost every other year soap or someone else had videos of every field at championship but this year more regionals were archived but the championship wasn't?

Please if anyone has any videos that aren't already posted online at TBA or SOAP please post links here.

cool!

Not on TBA yet... :)
so TBA is updated manually? or do you just have to tell it where it is on SOAP and the prefix for the videos?

wait. does TBA host it's oen videos or does it use SOAP's server?

TBA is updated manually and hosts all its own videos. We historically have downloaded the videos to our own computers, converted them for streaming into FLVs locally, and re-uploaded the originals and FLVs.

We're currently working on some scripts that let us download the videos straight from SOAP to The Blue Alliance without ever leaving the Internet. This saves a tremendous amount of bandwidth in the middle, especially because TBA and SOAP have much faster Internet connections than most us. The TBA server then converts the videos using the same software we would locally, which is again great because it is a much faster machine than most of us have. However, these scripts are still manually triggered.

Hope that elucidates our process :)

Greg, once you complete this script would you mind sharing it so as I can continue mirroring both of you guys (TBA and SOAP)?

Definitely will do. A script to automatically update a full mirror of TBA would be a very valuable thing to be able to distribute.

SOAP appears to not have uploaded Newton 50-70. 49 and 71 are there, but not in between. All the Newton videos available will be on TBA shortly.

Greg,
Is it possble to re-upload Hawaii semifinal matches? The two that blue alliance won are both cutoff in the middle of the match. Its the one against RaiderRobotix-RAWC.;) Still did not see the entire match on video yet.

If you have the matches without the missing sections, PM me and I will send you instructions to get them to us.

We strive to get as much coverage as we can, so always let us know if you can contribute video! :)

There are nine videos for the Great Lakes regional at http://www.firstvideoarchive.com/2008Archive/index.php?dir=Great%20Lakes/ (http://www.firstvideoarchive.com/2008Archive/index.php?dir=Great%20Lakes/)

Pittsburgh has no videos available at this time.

So hope that somebody has these videos.

I am wondering where many of the Philly videos are. Somebody started them and got 22 videos out, but nothing since...
