Congratulations to Mark Koors for retiring from Delphi after 35 years of engineering service.

Mark's ideas and inventions have resulted in many billions of dollars in sales for GM, Delco Electronics, and Delphi over that time.

(yes... billions with a "b")

Today is Mark's first day as a full-time AndyMark employee. I wanted to be the first to congratulate Mark, and also thought that many of you would appreciate hearing this news. Mark has been a mentor and friend to me for the last 11 years, as we both have been mentors on FRC team 45. Mark has helped out many teams and FIRST in Manchester, and even was awarded the 2007 FRC Volunteer of the Year at the Championship Event in Atlanta.

AndyMark is stronger now as Mark's focus is not shared between Delphi and AndyMark. We are both excited to see what happens with this company, and we appreciate the support we have received from all of the FRC teams and community as we have grown over the last 4 years.

Thankful to be Mark's business partner,
Andy Baker

Mark is also FIRST's most prolific FTA. I've lost count of the events he has worked, but it must have been about ten during the last two seasons alone. If Mark is at your regional, your field is in good hands.

Today is Mark's first day as a full-time AndyMark employee.

Baker! You made him work the day before a long weekend? Shame on you!

Congratulations, Mark! You're one of my favorite FTAs and I am excited to see what you and Andy have up your sleeves!

This is amazing news!
Congratulations Mark and AndyMark! woohoo!

A man of many talents and a quiet can-do attitude. He is one of those people that makes everything better by just being there and sharing his knowledge. I experienced that in OKC this year with Mark as our fearless FTA. To earn a smile from him was magical.

billions with a 'b' = wow.

Congratulations Mark!

I'm sure Delphi was sad to let you go but I'm excited to see new developments from AndyMark now that both you and Andy can give it their full attention.

For a program that aspires to create suitable heroes and "FIRST Rockstars" Mark should be considered at the top of this list.

Good Luck with his new full time endeavor.

I don't know anyone who can keep Mark from working. He is a machine... always thinking.

If you would like to drop a note to Mark, you can send a note to either of these locations:

markk (at) andymark.biz
makoors (at) gmail.com

As Bradley said above, his delphi email won't work any more.

Thanks to all,
Andy

I must agree. Mark was definitely fun to work with at this year's Oklahoma City Regional. I had the pleasure of having a lengthy conversation with him myself, and as said above, Mr. Koors is definitely a 'FIRST Rockstar'.

Good luck at AndyMark, both of you. I'm sure this is a new era for your company, and I can't wait to see what turns out from this.

As we say on Team 45:
MARK MARK HE'S OUR MAN!
IF HE CAN'T DO IT . . . .
IT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!!

Every year when I get to the venue for Mission Mayhem, I worry about the field breaking down. We have had problems with the field in 2005 and 2006. Last year Andy and Mark were gracious enough to come down here to help out. Andy was the head ref and Mark helped out putting the field together as well as running it; regardless to say, we didn't have a SINGLE problem past year. Thank you for all you have done Mark and congratulations. I hope to see you soon.

Congratulations Mark your a great person and I hope you continue to inspire people and students over the years with Andymark co. Delphi will miss you I am sure. Andy if you can or even Mark it would be cool to learn about some of the things he was involved with at Delphi if possible. Mark is quite awesome I met him at mayhem last year for the first time ever and it was very cool meeting a person with so much experience with FIRST and engineering in general. Hopefully both of you can make it back to South Florida.

Thanks everyone for the kind words.

It's been a great 35 years. I started working at Delco when it was a division of General Motors, I was seventeen and a GMI student. After many different Jobs atr Delphi, I find that it is time to start collecting my pension.
Thanks to Delphi for assigning me to be a mentor on team 45, and introducing me Andy Baker.
Now I can put all my creative efforts in to AndyMark and delivering many new excitiing products in the future.

Mark Koors:)

Congrats Mark for making it 35 years at the same place. That's an achievement in itself these days.
I bet Andy is counting the days when Mark makes the first 1,000,000,000.00 for AndyMark :yikes:
