Celebrating America's 232nd birthday this holiday weekend? Then save all those redeemable (http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/203543/the_connecticut_beverage_container.html?cat=55) cans and bottles, and donate them towards Team 228's Can and Bottle Drive Fundraiser!

On Saturday, July 12, 2008 from 8am until 12pm, you can drop off all of your redeemable cans and bottles at Maloney High School (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Francis+T.+Maloney+High+School,+Meriden,+CT ).

All proceeds from recycling deposits of the cans and bottles will help fund our robotics programs.

So if you have a ton of soda/beer cans and bottles with this label (shown below) on them, then consider helping the environment by recycling and helping another FIRST team by donating them to Team 228's Can and Bottle Drive.

DonWith the current price of gas - even if we filled up in New Jersey - I can't see that idea fiscally coming out ahead anymore. :-/
