Team RUSH is hoping for a slightly better run than last year, which shouldn't be too hard considering we lost every qualification match.:yikes:

This trophy was made by AndyMark, Inc (http://www.andymark.biz/index.html). The design concept was made by TechnoKats (http://www.technokats.org/) students (FRC team 45) in coordination with AndyMark staff. Nick Boyce and I did the detailed design.

There are 29 other trophies just like it, except that the runner-up trophies are red anodized and the rest are gold anodized.

The anodization was done at Colors, Inc. (http://www.colorsinc.com/) in Indianapolis. One of the managers at Colors, Inc. will be a judge at IRI.

This trophy violates the "no metal on carpet" rule. :yikes:

That being said - who cares!

Awesome design!

Might I ask if alliance captain representatives will have anything special given to them to commemorate the honor in 2008, like ye old bucket hats of 2007?

Where did you get the FIRST logo flags?

I bought the flags here, (http://www.miniatureflagshop.com/whonelaptogo.html) and then had a local print shop (Premier Printing, of Kokomo) put the logo on.

we thought we would just put a tie strap around one of the trophies, and let them wear it on their heads....

or, maybe something like a bucket hat .... ;)

This year we have several generous sponsors who are providing for:

From corporate sponsors -
5 - $1000 Technical scholarships
(AndyMark, IFI, Allison Transmission, Rolls-Royce, Diversified Systems)

From the 2007 IRI Teams donations
1 - $1000 Technical scholarship

From the Marcia Beatty Foundation and the IRI
1 - $1500 Teaching Career scholarship

In all, $7500 will be awarded to 7 2008 High School graduates.

This award celebrated the best all around rookie team (new to competition in 2008).

Or is this not being done due to 2377's lack of competition? As they are the only rookie...

Won’t it be great to have an award given out during the 2009 Kickoff for the “Best Off-Season Trophy Design” (for creativity)?

That would really move the Off-Season competitions up another level.

I got a job at colors inc. due to their support for our team and I personally racked every one of them.

Nice Andy, very very nice.

P.S. 1741 is working hard to try to acquire one and thanks to 217 for a bit of design influence in our off season rework...
