The 2008 Milwaukee Mentor Vex Challenge is now available at www.midwestvex.org. Registration is open now and is only $25 per team. The event will be held:

Saturday, September 13th, 2008
Rufus King International Baccalaureate High School
1801 W. Olive St., Milwaukee, WI 53209
8:00am - 5:00pm (tentatively - see website for additional details)

What is the Milwaukee Mentor Vex Challenge? Several students from FRC1675 and FRC1714 have created a game for the second year now that adults and mentors get to play. The roles are completely reversed. Mentors are given a chance to put their knowledge and skills to the test and show their students what they really can do. Last year 8 teams competed in the inaugural event, including a team from Innovation First, Inc. We are expecting a much larger turnout this year as word spreads of this unique event, and we hope to see some more "celebrity" teams come to Milwaukee and strut their stuff. We hope to see you in September!

Seems like a pretty cool game, but I dont think the rules say how many robots are on an alliance.

Congratulations to the MVMC organizers for a very well run event. Even though we only had 4 teams competing and everyone played in every match, it still was exciting (well, at least the first 15 seconds of each match anyway!).

Winners:
1675 UPS (Team Hidden Z)
171/269 Extreme Engineering/Cooney Robotics (The BiPolar Bears)

Runners Up:
1714 More Robotics (The Grillibobs)
2062 CORE

Looking forward to next year!
