Hello Everyone.

I have a quick question. I am wondering how long the longest Lego Axle in the kit is? I'm trying to look online but apparently "stud" is now a unit.

Also, does anyone know a way to switch from lego pieces to Tetrix/VEX pieces? Cause it seems to me that if you want to use the LEGO motors, you have to use the Lego parts...

Thankx.

I have a quick question. I am wondering how long the longest Lego Axle in the kit is? I'm trying to look online but apparently "stud" is now a unit. LEGO standard units are "studs". One stud is the length of the top of a 1x1 piece. Or, a 4x1 piece is 4 studs long. I'm sure you can measure one of those in inches.

A LEGO stud is approximately 5/16" wide, or 8mm. I believe the longest solid axles that come in the kit are 12 studs long, or 3.75". LEGO makes a lot of other wierd pieces, though, that aren't in usual kits. I have a 32 stud long axle (10"), which is the longest I know of. You can buy them online at bricklink.com (http://www.bricklink.com), but I don't know the rules on LEGO pieces for FTC.

I don't think we can use the 10" axles, considering they didn't come in the kit, but i figured out that there must be some extenders in the kit so i guess it'll be alright.
