Hey everyone,

I'm writing a research paper for my freshman English class on Perspectives of Technology, and i decided to put together a survey to help collect some recent data.

It would be really great if you could take the survey and pass it on to anybody who would be willing to help.

Here is the URL: http://cli.gs/techuseserv

The survey will take 15 - 30 min to complete.
Also, make sure you on the last page (6) that you found out about the survey at chiefdelphi.com

Thank you so much for your help!

- Keith

Just finished. If you don't mind, please post the data here when you are finished, I am interested in what your survey discovers.

P.S. You spelled Chief Delphi wrong on the quiz.

ohhh... Thanks, i missed that. I also forgot to include Safari as part of the "Browsers you frequently use" section and I spelt gaming wrong in the "other gaming systems" question.

Unfortunately, I can not edit the questions without erasing all of the previous answers from the survey, so it will have to remain that way.

Thank you so much to everyone who helped out by taking the survey. I will be sure to post the final statistics when i am finished. Also, please spread the word about this survey if you can, it would be great to also get more of a less technical population to add their results to the survey (So far everyone has said that their good at using technology, and the lowest score on the quiz has been 4/5)

I think your results may be a tad skewed since in order to take the survey, people must use the internet and therefore some form of technology (it's a paradox, I just hope the universe doesn't implode :))

That is true, but there really isn't any good way for me to get a large sample easily. But there are a lot of people out there who know how to use a computer, but as soon as something goes wrong or changes, their stuck.
Also, to avoid the whole "FIRST people are generally technical" issue, i also put a posting up on craigslist (http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/com/916809430.html) and also on facebook and twitter, and hopefully, i can put the link up in more places.

Also, Side Fact: cli.gs helps me by providing analytical data from anyone who clicks on it! :)

Ok everybody,

For thoese of you who care, the results are in!
Thank you to everybody who helped out by taking the survey.

Attached to this is the following:
1) My Finished Project (The PowerPoint (If you want to skip to the stuff about the survey, go down to "Original Research") (You will need PowerPoint 2007 to open it, or google "PowerPoint 2007 Reader" so you can at least open it.)
2) The Overall Statistics from the survey (The PDF)
3) The aggregated data (( manually typed in all the data (well, except towards the end, when i got lazy and i realized just what i needed for this project)

I did not use all of the data from the survey in this project, for thoese of you who are a bit annoyed that I asked you to fill out a long survey, I have another project next term, where i will most likely be using a lot more of the data, so think of it as a one shot deal, instead of my begging people to take another survey.
Also, the frequency categories where to help guide people to what a category was, so they didn't for get that a certain item was in a category, like mobile phone cameras in the cameras category.

Again, thank you so much for your help!

-Keith

UPDATE: Sorry I had to ZIP it, but i can't upload a PPTX (Or PPSX) to CD. Enjoy!
