Do they mean we have 3 days to inspect our KOP and ask for missing parts. Or do we have to also make shure they work, because we're having trouble finding enough time in these 3 days because of Turkey Day.

I believe you have 3 days to report missing items, but have a longer time period (the length of which I don't know, I'd hope it's forever) to report nonfuctional items.
