Did anyone not get notified by FIRST or FedEx that your new controller is shipped, even though your team signed up for the early shipment?

Because we signed up, did everything to get early shipment of new controller but they did not notify us that it's shipped yet.

I just wanted to make sure that our team isn't the only one.

Same situation here, we signed up for early shipment, but haven't heard anything. I'm checking the deliveries every day hoping for a box.

In this situation, use Occam's Razor, "All other things being equal, the simplest solution is usually correct." So, most likely, if you have received no notification of shipment, no shipment has yet occurred. Give them time, be patient grasshopper....

If you're feeling extra paranoid, contact your local regional director or the FIRST offices and have them check to make sure you weren't lost in a shuffle somewhere.

My old team hasn't received theirs either and got no email regarding it. I feel better knowing others haven't gotten it yet either.

I also started feeling like we should have heard something by now, so I emailed FIRST. They say the following:

Hi John,

Thank you for writing. As of this time, your control system has not shipped. If you paid before November 14, you should be on our list to ship out in the first batch, but we have many hundred teams on the list. We are shipping out the control systems as fast as we can. We will let you know as soon as your kit ships, so please keep an eye out for an email from us with a tracking number.

Thank you,

FRC Team SupportI guess we just need to be patient for a little longer. With so many people already playing with theirs I feel like the last kid on the block to get the latest fad toy. I guess I was jumping the gun...

1923 has not received our control system shipment notification either. It's good know we're not alone. Now it's just more waiting...

Bacon is also anxiously awaiting a notification as well. THE WAIT IS KILLING ME!!!!!!! (not to mention my phone ringing constantly with everyone asking if we got it yet)

I'm not sure if this is just Hawai'i, but some of the teams here that have recieved delivery of the control system did NOT get early warning from Fed Ex on delivery. It just showed up.

Since the NASA grant took care of everything for us, we got early notification and a tracking no. to Hawaii. The NASA grant which guaranteed us payment for a regional allowed us to be on the list, but we are not sure where when compared to teams that did indeed pay for their regional event(s).
Our system was delivered late Monday afternoon.
Many of the other Hawaii NASA grant awardees did not get their system yet though.

Team 1098 got ours this Tuesday without any notice at all. Happy to have it.

Ours still hasn't shown up. We paid the day before they started shipping, so we should be one of the last to receive one, along with the fact we are in eastern washington, a long ways from NH.

964 doesn't have theirs either. Looking at the rate the controllers are being received with no warning whatsoever, I think we can safely say that we all need to just exercise patience, calm down, breathe, and read all the daggone manuals for the hundredth time. :D Eventually they'll get here, warning or no warning...

If you didn't receive a shipment notification email, you should double-check that your shipping contact information is correct in TIMS. Then double-check with your shipping contact to see if the email was actually seen but not forwarded to you.

Our mentor is the shipping contact, and he checks multiple times a day.

I would second this thought. I know I went in & set up a new FedEx account just to make sure everything was correct. FedEx will send an e-mail to the person that is registered in thier system, provided the shipping contact person has put that information in the system.

As far as who has & who has not received stuff is a mystery. One of our 2 team got the kit. Both were paid the same day, both use the same FedEx account. I'm not that worried becasue I would rather someone else get theirs before we get another.

Ours came in yesterday. No notification of any sort except FIRST's statement that they were going out ASAP.

I am the shipping contact and have the UPS account for shipping and have not recievd a word. Intresting that they are shipping without charging?

We are in the same place as everyone else here. Our mentor started contacting FIRST about why we had not received a notification of shipment. We paid the first day as soon as we signed up and had heard nothing. After some digging we got an email from someone at FIRST that said that about 12 of the teams that paid early had not been marked "OK to ship" by mistake and their kits had therefore not shipped yet. She then informed us that ours would be shipping that day (Wednesday Dec 3rd) and that it should get to us on Monday (Dec 8). I am assuming that the other 11 teams that were not marked got shipped that day also so look out for the kits soon! We have still not gotten shipping information from them but the person we talked to at FIRST told us that it did ship.

Yes, We paid the first day and they have no answer on why we haven't gotten ours either. They gave me the same answer last week that it was shipped and now its wednesday and still no notification or controller. Sounds like there are others in the same situation but unfortunately they are slow to solve the problem.

Ya, my team is in the same situation. What we are nervous about is that kickoff will roll around without us recieving the early shipment, and we won't get it in the regular KOP either.

Bacons controller arrived today with no notice at all. Imagine my surprise when I opened the box expecting T-shirts!! Its a happy day!

1923 has still not received their control system- however, we did get a call from FIRST regarding our (mistyped) shipping account #. Hopefully that means they were trying to process it.

Here's a strange story for you. Last week, we started hearing rumors that other teams had received their controllers. Late Tuesday I bopped off an EMail to FIRST asking where in the process our's was.

Wednesday morning, when I walked into school, there was a box in my lab. I immediately sent FIRST a "Boy, you guys are GOOD!" EMail, and alerted the students to start salivating.

The next day (Thursday), I got a message from FIRST saying,
"Thank you for your e-mail. I have looked at your information on TIMS and everything seems to be in order. Please note that when the shipment for your team goes out your team's shipping contact is emailed with the tracking information. If your team's shipping contact has not received an email yet it is because your shipment has not gone out yet. The early shipment of the control system is going out on a rolling basis, as of now I do not see your team on the list of shipments that have been made thus far."

The curious thing is ... I never received word that the controller was shipped, yet it arrived. But more puzzling is why we weren't on the list of shipments already made. :confused:

Greetings Teams:

Our records indicate that you requested early shipment of your control system and paid before the deadline. However, some portion of the shipping information (address, shipping account information, etc.) was inaccurate and prevented us from shipping your kit as planned.

Over the past several weeks we have attempted to contact you via email and telephone in an attempt to fix the information. As we have received no response, we were left unable to resolve the issues associated with your team's shipment. At this point we must move forward and ship your control system kit with the rest of your Kit of Parts (KOP). Your KOP will be received at your Local Kickoff, or your chosen location if you selected "Team Pays" in TIMS.* We are very sorry but we are unable to accommodate any exceptions.

Important: If you have selected "Team Pays" in TIMS you must correct all shipping errors or we will run into the same shipping issues and you will not receive your KOP! Remember, shipments go to all Shipping Contact's Shipping Address.

We thank you in advance for you understanding.

The most disappointing this is not that we wont get out early ship . . but that our shipping contact did not receive any emails or calls. Also I checked with 1817's main contact they received something similar, again with no calls or emails prior. Whats worse is they double checked with FIRST to confirm that all the information was correct and got an email confirming that they "would be in the first wave shipped!". All and all I am very disappointed with the inconsistent execution of the early ship.

1477 isn't receiving their early shippment. What happens if there's some sort of major mix up and we don't get our cRio either early or in the KoP?
