View Full Version : Are teams still recieveing shipment of the new control system?

Teams are becoming concerned about receiving their shipment. I know my team is. Are teams receiving shipments still? Has anyone received a delivery or notice of shipment today? What about yesterday? If they are still arriving, that would alleviate the worry somewhat, but if nobody has gotten a delivery since Friday, that would be cause to panic.:ahh:

So, anybody get one today?

Ours arrived Monday, by UPS, you might want to continue to be patient just a few more days...

Was it a surprise, or did you receive shipment notification when was shipped? And if so, when did that happen?

It would be more helpful to post when yours shipped, rather then when you received it. You can check the tracking number for when it shipped.

The one received in Michigan today was probably shipped this past Monday. The one received in Arizona this past Monday was probably shipped the previous Monday, and is less useful for determining if they are still shipping.

The most useful, of course, would be people who just received notification of shipment.

FIRST must be still shipping them out as fast as they can. I am the shipping contact for our team and I just received an email from FedEx a few minutes ago with our tracking number. Our 26 lb package shipped today (the 10th) and is scheduled to be delivered on the 15th. I guess this means there is no need for everyone to panic just yet. So much for Bill's Blog saying they were going to ship until the 5th. Given the usual package overload this time of year for all of the shipping companies I wouldn't be surprised if there was a delay of a day or so more as well.

Also, the FedEx tracking page currently has this warning:
"IMPORTANT! Inclement weather conditions at Memphis, TN hub may cause some service delays and disruptions within the U.S. today."

Heck, the other night the UPS man delivered a package to my house at 9:00 PM and he said he still had another hour and a half of deliverys to make!

We just got an email saying ours shipped! It should be here early next week.

No tracking number was sent, called FIRST on Monday and it was already at the school.

Ours came in before Tuesday, soon enough that our teacher hadn't inventoried the kit yet.

Team 1516, a local team form my area, received their new control system on Tuesday of this week. We still have not received ours at least by 5:30 of Wednesday. But because of 1516 I am confidant it is close.

I got notification yesterday that 340s shipped & will be in tomorrow. Unfortunatly I will be on my way to NYC & won't be around to get to it until Monday. That means 2 kits, 2 notifications. For those of you that got no notification, make sure you have your information updated with FedEX.

A little bird told me he had seen our name on a list & for some reason it had 340 as paid on a much later date than 424.

I guess it's just ironic that the Beta test kitwill be shipped back on Monday & the new control system gets opened on same day. Out with the old in with the new.

Well, today is the last day they can ship our system and reasonably expect it to arrive before the holidays. :( Next week is finals week, so the kids are going to be busy all week. We still haven't received shipment or notification. Hope is beginning to fade. The best we can expect is for the team to be able to do some work over the holidays to get up and running before kick-off. That will only be possible if the system arrives before they close the school for the holidays.

WOOT! just got a call. System arrived 10 minutes ago... no notice that it was on the way...

We just got ours today too! Man i'm so excited!

I can't see it until monday though, I'm at work all day :(

Our coach got the e-mail yesterday. Come on, Monday!

Hmmm.... The website shows the package's last checked-in point. How long would it take to drive to Syracuse and intercept it? :D

Got a call today from FIRST stating my team's control system shipment was rejected for reasons unknown. Can't say I'm terribly pleased. But I was told though it's going to be included in the KOP...so hopefully it's in there when I pick it up on Kickoff!

We wouldn't want your any obstacles to your team creating a robot early and providing us with a teaser video again! ;) ;)
That was just pure inspiration to numerous teams. :D :D :D

1745 still no word . . Im hoping that the reason for the delay is gift wrap. but really Im just hoping that they dont ship it too late for the high school to be out of session and a box with ~$5000 worth of robotics stuff just sits there for a few weeks.


whats worse is news from 1817 they had there money and pre ship as one of the first teams, they also have not gotten word.

Our package was received yesterday with no notice. :yikes: If it comes down to someone at FIRST sending me a shipping notice over spending the time to ship another system out to another team, we would gladly go without the email. Thank you FIRST for all you do and we look forward to this years game.:D
