We've got our early 2009 control system. We've done the bench-top test, upgraded the Driver Station, LabVIEW and the cRIO. We've deployed the Basic project (set to run at start-up). That seems to work, we get the battery voltage readout on the DS. Before connecting our motors up, we wanted to verify the outputs via the dashboard. We connected our PC to the Driver station and the driver station to Ethernet port 1 on the cRio . We can connect with the cRio (deploy, etc). When we run the dashboard though, we do not get any updates. What are we missing? Is there a dashboard enable or something we are missing?
Thanks,
-Terry
Stupid idea, but you do have both the dashboard project and the cRio project running at the same time?
Btw, we just got this running this afternoon - way, way cool when you see the camera work, the analog showing readings, the PWMs reacting - sweet!

You need to have your PCs IP address set to .6

I can get it to work if I deploy the FRC code to the cRio but not when I have it configured for start-up. When configured for start-up, the cRio code is running (communications with the DS and control of the motors works fine).
I've heard that there is a bug in the dashboard VIs, is that true? If so, what is the nature of the bug?

http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70397 I have seen inconsistent results even without using the VI mentioned in that post.
I'd recommend not worrying too much about the dashboard until the LabVIEW update comes out. There should be plenty of other things to play with :)
