Scholarships available

The Mensa Foundation in the US has a scholarship program available - applicants don't need to be members. For a list of the participating regions, please check out http://www.mensafoundation.org/AM/Template.cfm?Section=Scholarships1. The deadline is Jan. 15, 2009.

The applicant must be enrolled in a degree program in an accredited U.S. institution of higher learning during the academic year following the application date.

The applicant must submit an application and essay explaining his or her career, academic and/or vocational goals. This is a great place to feature your robotics experience.

One thing to note in the application,
1. The applicant must currently be a resident of a participating American Mensa Local Group's area.

There are LOTS of scholarships available for FIRST students...information regarding the Boilermaker Regional Scholarships (http://regional.purduefirst.org/index.php?page=scholarship) was posted today, and there is information for almost all FIRST-related scholarships here (http://www.usfirst.org/community/frc/content.aspx?id=508).

You might be busy with build season now, but be sure to apply; deadlines are fast approaching for some of the scholarships and you just might win :]
