View Full Version : Help with updating firmware on Driver Station
Our team followed the firmware update procedure for the Driver Station correctly but for some some strange reason the Driver Station stayed in flashing mode (ie the screen where it says "DO NOT SHUT OFF!") for close to two hours. The instructions say that it takes about 3 mins to flash. We eventually had no choice but to cycle power on the device because it was obvious that something went wrong. Now the Driver Station looks like it tries to boot up but gets locked up with the "Kwik Byte" image on the screen.
Any ideas on how we could possibly bring it back to life?
Thanks for any help!

I would contact FIRST before paying for KwikByte to do anything in your specific circumstance as it sounds like you may have had a DS that was defective in some way.
One thing to check is the filesize of the update on your flash drive. If your file downloaded correctly it should be 2.19 MB.

As Vikesrock said you should contact FIRST about repairs, but the quickest way to get up and running may be to buy a replacement from AndyMark (http://andymark.biz/am-0269.html).
Thanks for the replies. Our team verified that the bin file was the correct size. I believe we might have a defective Driver Station.
