Well, our team has encountered a slight problem while updating. Well, not a small problem. It won't update! We have tried many a solution to this problem after thoroughly searching the Chief Delphi database on the issue. Here is what is happening.
1) We plug in the USB drive.
2) We power it on in enabled and autonomous (we tried every other combination)
3) We held the buttons and accomplished the idiot test.
Here is where we experienced the problem:
After holding the Select button for the duration, the screen only flashes for a 1/4 of a second: "Do not turn off power - process takes several minuets - checking file size".

Anyone have a solution to our frustrations?

I had the same problem today as well. I was able to fix it by using a different flash drive. Try that and see if it works. Also, verify that you have renamed the file correctly.

We're having trouble downloading robot code to the cRio after flashing the cRio with the latest update. We've seen the note with this update that you need to be careful because the cRio won't respond to downloads from PCs using the update if the cRio is still running the old firmware and we think this is the problem. We want to check this theory by looking at the version, build, etc. information sent to the console.

If we have successfully flashed the cRio, how would we know this by looking at the cRio boot messages sent to the console? In other words, what version numbers or build numbers should we see?

For Update 2 look for a line that says:
FRC_NetworkCommunication...SVN revision 1510
