What type of material should be used under the "rigolith" floor?

The standard carpet will be at the competitions. The regolith won't go all the way up to the wall, and the robot will be driving on carpet if it goes to the edge. FRP on top of carpet for practice would be a good idea to see the traction difference.

What are teams using to "hold" the 4'x8' to each other and the floor so they don't move apart or slide around?
