Has anyone had this problem?

We can acquire single pictures with our camera, but we can't take a sequence of frames. When we try to take a sequence, the only option we have is to set the number of frames (none of the other options that are described in the NI manual). To run these tests we are using Vision Assistant 8.6. The program says we've acquired a sequence of images, but they're all blank (the frames are all black).

Any ideas? Is this a defective camera, defective software, etc?

Is there really a reason to do this?

If I recall correctly ours does this to with getting series, but we just opted for the "let's not do that" approach. We get a couple frames to work the algos, then we put it into labview.

Then we get to use it with a live camera, (with great success so far).

We were having some problems earlier in the week where it would all freeze up for a bit...then we did some stuff that had nothing to do with the camera and next thing u kno it is working (well i think thats how it went) ;)

My problem is sort of the opposite.
I can not acquire any images from the camera when using Vision Assistant.
I get the following message:

Error 56 occurred at TCP Open Connection in Read Axis JPG.vi->IVA Axis IP IMAQ Exec.vi->IVA Axis IP IMAQ Interface.vi->IVA Call Process Module Interface.vi:2->IVA Acquisition Tools Palette.vi

Can someone help me? Please.

put a probe on the image output in "vision processing.vi" and save the image that you get back.

When the camera is connected to the RIO, your computer CANNOT see it.

When attaching the camera directly to the PC, you have to match the IP address ranges. I usually change the PC IP address manually to 192.168.0.91 or something similar, but not 90.

Don't forget to change it back to 10... when hooking to the robot.
