does anyone know how to wire a basic toggle switch to the OI board? I'm not even sure if it's possible, but if it is and someone knows how to do it that would be sweet. also if someone knows how you can do it without a resistor that would be helpful. I found the thread kind of about this, but it was from a different season without the new system. heres a picture of the toggle I'm trying to wire, left pin is ground, ACC in the middle, and theres a + on the right pin.

My suggestion is to wire the switch between one of the Digital Input pins on the side and ground. Your cRio can then read the status of that pin and behave accordingly.

For details on the pins on the side of the OI, see the OI documentation please.

Wire the + to the 5V, wire Vcc to ground, wire the other pin to signal.

When it's off, Vcc and signal will be connected, which pulls the value to 0 and will be a false in the code.

When it's on, + and signal will be connected, which makes value 5V and will be a true in the code.

The "resistor" you might have heard of is often including in the innards of the OI. This year's DS does not have one, so all three pins are used (and thus you shouldn't use 2 pin switches on the DS). You can learn about why here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pull-down_resistor
