The rules don't say anything about cutting tetrix metal. I was wondering if there was a restriction about cutting tetrix metal?
There are no restrictions on cutting the metal in the Tetrix kit. Though I HIGHLY recommend that you don't cut unless it is necessary for the design to work; mainly to the cost of getting replacement parts is so high that its a good idea not to cut the metal ;)

On the contrary, we find cutting the parts makes some useful structures that Pitsco doesn't offer. A table saw with a tungsten-carbide blade can turn that c-channel into angles and flat plates. I recommend that this should only be tried by someone with a lot of table saw experience.
We do a fair amout of cutting using a jig saw, hack saw, dremel tool, tin snips, files and sandpaper. Sandpaper does a remarkable job smoothing the edges.
