If an event could be either Webcast or Archived but not both, which would you prefer?
Thanks,

I would vote for archived, many more people would be able to watch the matches.

I'm more likely to watch an entire regional if it is webcasted. But having the archive of the matches makes it easy to go back and see a specific match. When you have the archive, you loose some parts of the regional that I love. Team introductions, alliance selections, dead time on the field all of that makes it so much more special.
I prefer archived for viewing later but having BOTH would be even better! But this would probably require 2 systems.

I am happy the blue alliance has both. No need to choose.

If you webcast it with something like the MMS or RTSP protocol, then someone with VLC can just save a copy of the streaming webcast given a solid Internet connection.

Good point.
Does the decision change knowing the webcast is 320x240, whereas the archive can be anywhere from 640x480 to 1920x1080?
Thanks,

KA :cool:If it comes down to 320x240 webcast or much higher resolution archive, I'd take the archive.
The previous post was supposing they were about the same quality.
