spreading recycling

Hey everybody

My team this year is doing recycling. We think this is a really important project because the FIRST program produces so much waste.

Last year we gave out boxes to teams during the regionals and told them to put all their waste in there. Then we went around and collected the waste and sorted though it. That year we won the rookie all star award.

This year we want to try to spread the idea of recycling to other regionals. Attached is a template that you can all use to start your own recycling programs.

This is a really great idea. It's awesome to see that you're passionate about being responsible for the waste you create and taking care of our planet. I hope this will catch on at other regionals. I'm going to tell my team about this. (:

Batteries are toxic things.

At the Peachtree Regional there will be facilities to recycle all type of batteries including lead-acid and lithium ion.

so bring your obsolete batteries.
