....

The call is hosted by FIRST Senior Mentor Jessica Jankowitsch, Pittsburgh, PA (December’s “FIRST Unsung Hero” on Chief Delphi).

....

it seems like FIRST always denies the existence of CD, and now they take pride in Jessica for beeping a UFH. That's awesome!

I am currently on the team Jess came from, maybe that means I am going to aspire to greatness! ha.
But why wouldn't FIRST officially recongnize Chief Delphi. We are promoting FIRST and learning all we can. We get questions answered that may be a question no one on our teams knows the answer to, it seems more helpful than hurtful. CD a good thing, isn't it?

Yes, CD is a good thing, but remember: "All official information comes from FIRST". People sometimes forget this and take things said on CD as fact.

Actually, that is not quite the case. FIRST has acknowledged the CD forums many times. For example, the forums have been mentioned as an excellent information resource during several of the kick-off broadcasts in recent years. They even went so far as to apologize to Brandon in advance for steering a large volume of traffic to CD for discussions about autonomous mode programming when it was first rolled out.

(and once again, congratulations Jess for the UFH award!)

Neither Russ nor myself work for FIRST. We work in Manchester and happen to volunteer too much.
