Since 2003, there's been a long line of Canadian rookie teams who have come out of the gate flying:

2003: 1114
2004: 1241
2005: 1503
2007: 2056, 2166

Considering the pedigree of the mentors on this team, along with the team bringing in a dedicated bunch of students, including kids from one Canada's most awarded FLL teams (http://teamwaffles.com/), I expect Team 2809 to continue this string of Canadian rookie success.
