We're having issues with the network connection at the venue. It seems they have a bad cable so they're running a new one right now. In the meantime, I'm playing around with broadcasting using the venue's WiFi but I suspect that's not working very well.

I'll report back when we have our Ethernet connection back and are running better. Also, as you will see I'm trying Ustream this year - those who have watched in the past please provide comments on the quality versus RealPlayer that we've used before. If Ustream isn't as good, we can go back to RealPlayer for tomorrow.

It's not bad for being over wifi, freezes and skips every now and then for a few seconds though.

Thanks, can't wait until saturday!

Thanks Michelle for the direct link.

EDIT EDIT: How is the field setup going? It looks as if they are having problems. Can anyone elaborate on this?

It'll probably be going offline periodically now and then until we get the network connection straightened out. I'll let you know when we have our Ethernet connection - until then just assume that it will be flaky.

Only problem is ustream is blocked at work ... where the RealPlayer was not.

I just watched my first match of the year!!!
I feel like a kid I'm that excited. My Physic class is wondering why I have a chessey grin on my face while they are taking a test.

I mentioned this to the people in the chat room a while ago and forgot to post it here. Anyway, we have our Ethernet connection so things should be pretty stable now.

Anyone know the easiest way to record a ustream stream?

Dave, it seems to me (from across the Atlantic) that both the DC and NJ webcasts are smoother. I'm not sure if it's because of uStream, but it's very noticable. Just thought you'd like to know.

We can't see it here in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Been watching it all morning, and it died within the last half hour.

FYI: CAMstudio is free and records video fairly easily. Currently grabbing some MW matches for my team to view later on.
