Awesome, Raul. Over the past several years, I can't tell how many times I've used this picture (attached) to describe what FIRST is all about. The passion you bring to your work with students has always astounded me.

Raul is the man!

One of the most well respected people on this board, and one of the people who played a huge part in the growth of the FIRST community by his participation here. Not only that, he is probably one of the people that is most fun to talk strategy with. His kids are lucky to have him!

Congrats Raul....well deserved!

Heh even as a college alumni/mentor of a team Raul and 111 are still one of the most inspiring teams in FRC to me. Congrats to on a well deserved and long overdue award. Many more to come I am sure.

I'm with everyone else. I figured he already won too. Congratulations on getting FIRST to finally acknowledge what everyone else already knew! That you're a FIRST class mentor.

Congratulations to Raul. We might have met once in CT, I can't remember but either way 111 is a great old school team and I'm sure this award is WELL deserved. WFA and then they go and win the Mid-West regional which I was also really glad to see. The number of teams who have been around since 199x seems to grow smaller each year, and those who remain get nothing but respect from me.

Congrats once again.

Aah man; thank you all for the kind words.

The FIRST community is full of so many awesome people. There are many more who deserve this award and have not yet been recognized as such. And the list of amazing people keeps growing. Thanks again.

Congratulations Raul! It has been great to be work with you for the past three years. Even though I never officially was on the mechanical subteam, it was great to work with you in the model shop and later in the pits. You have taught me a lot about robotics, engineering, and how to work under pressure. I will really miss working with you and the rest of WildStang's great mentors. Best of luck at BMR and the Championship!

Congratulations, Raul.

One of the reasons that I like to travel to Indiana for the IRI off season event is because I've had a chance to watch 111 in action in a smaller venue than the Championship. By doing that, I've had the opportunity to see the mentors working side-by-side with the students on the team, bringing out the best in the everyone involved and in the competition. You are one of the engineers whose commitment I have admired for many years and you are one of the reasons that I believe in the FRC program as much as I do. Thank you for everything you do in helping set the standard for the rest of us.

All the best,
Jane
