Hi, I'm currently looking at the paper that team 121 based their traction control on and it appears that their model is dependant on some coefficient of friction vs slip ratio data.

Does anyone have data that they would be willing to share that shows how the coefficient of friction varies as a function of wheel velocity for the wheels in contact with the regolith?

thanks!

I have provided some curves under the thread "Implementing Traction Control as an Advantage". BTW, this website allows you to post in one location when uploading and I couldn't repost for you in this thread.

No problem. Thanks! Do you know what post number on that thread is your posting?

Student on our team did a paper. In our research the percentage of slippage to get maximum traction was 20%.

Interesting that is the same for rubber tire on asphalt.
