A different march madness

I think teams in michigan need to contact a tv station or newspaper in the detroit area. I would think they would like a different angle to the final four.

Good idea, but they're a little preoccupied with that other March Madness. MSU has a few more followers than Hot, Chickens and Delphi combined. :)

Seriously, watch what gets more airtime this week - basketball or car companies. I think we'll be terribly disappointed.

The possiblities are awesome, aren't they? Wouldn't it be great to see the following:

1. The rankings in the paper.
2. The elimination brackets in the paper and on TV.
3. An "all-state" robotics team.
4. Mr. Robotics or Ms. Robotics (akin to Mr. Basketball)
5. A column by Bob Wojnowski or that guy from the Freep on a sport that matters.
6. A Sports Illustrated writer gets lost on his way to Ford Field and ends up at EMU...

When sports becomes more important than people's livelyhoods, the culture is messed up. Although a little escapism is always good for the soul.

I like Ken's list - and I agree, someday ... Except the SI writer would get lost on the way to EMU and end up at Ford field for some hoops game that was going on. :p

As far as Jack stepping down - well, let's just say that one wouldn't make any more sense than the other canning that happened. Jack as a scapegoat - I suspect he's been called worse. ;)

Don't get me wrong, I hate it when basketball takes up 5 channels too. I just hate it when they force you to watch politics by having that everywhere.

PS: I say this about all presidents. I just hate when one person takes up all my channels. Oh well, at least there are cartoons.
