So I was just talking recently and reminsing about old TV shows and a debate about the best pokemon and Henceforth I beginth this Thread to determind thine most epic pokemon.

I got go with poliwag/poliwhirl. I use lots of TM's on him in conjunction with his hypnosis. With the variety, he rounds out any good team especially since he has water absorb.

All around, you can't beat my Poli's. :D

Hmm, it depends.
Throwing out all the silly games past Red/Blue(Green), there's no doubt that psychic pokemon were the best, and Alakazam (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Alakazam_(Pok%C3%A9mon)) and Mewtwo were the best of them. Yeah, you could gameplan around how to beat psychic pokemon, but the fact that only a handful of pokemon were effective against them and other trainers were practically forced to carry them showed how dominant they were.

Now, in terms of overall favorites, I gotta go with Articuno (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Articuno_(Pok%C3%A9mon)). Loved that bird :)

First off it needs to be noted that red and blue had all of the best Pokemon. My personal favorite was Pidgeot, but that is because I had mine trained up high enough that he could take out any other Pokemon in one hit, including Mewtwo and the legendary birds.

Seriously, he was a tank. A well raised Snorlax could have well over 500 Hp and ridiculously high Defense. Not to mention he was so cool that he blocked your path... Twice.

I thought about that myself. But I could never delete a pokemon I've raised. I think I'll buy a used one for $5 somewhere. That is of course, if I ever find the time.

All I can do is laugh. When I first discovered the 'solution' (I think it was over the summer) I immediately grabbed my cartridge sitting around and, having no previous sentiment with the last game I had on there, started a new one.

The cartridge continues to sit around today... I have not fully gotten around to getting mew yet. However, if I was still the 11/12 y.o. kid back in the day, sure as heck I would have had it by now (this was almost 10 years ago... yikes I'm getting old(er)).

Good thread just in time for State Champs btw. I would not have been at CD unless it were for that.

This thread was MADE for me. I play Pokémon competitively.

I currently am a big fan of Empoleon. When you support him with some Toxic Spikes, Sand Stream, and a Tyranitar or Dugtrio, you can use Agility to sweep teams.

(I was going for nerd shock value, then I realized I'm on a robotics forum :()

I would go with a tie between the three legendary dogs (entei, suicune, and rai-something or other, i forget) and evee. Because you can make evee into any kind of pokemon you need to cover up your others weaknesses

Smash Bros. games shouldn't delete characters and put in copies of them in the next games: they should keep who they have, and make the new characters have a unique style. If Mewtwo and Lucario had been in Brawl together, that would have been just so epic.
