This year, FIRST encouraged student / mentor presentations for the Championship Forums.
Team 234 made two presentations, one technical on a belt / chain drive performance, and one on team continuity. Each was a combination of a mentor and 2 - 3 students.
The presentations went well and there was good attendance.
This post is to encourage other teams to consider making presentations at the 2010 forums. It can be a great learning experience to identify a topic, submit the proposal, and then prepare for the presentation to your FIRST peers.
I attended several sessions and they were all excellent. There is an incredible wealth of knowledge that is being freely shared. Many will be posted on the FIRST website and / or white papers section here on CD so you can still capture the 2009 presentations. Please check them out, and also plan now to attend some of the sessions next year.
