My name is Eric and I was the Director of the FIRST robotics enterprise at Tech last year. There are 3 teams in this area and if you would like to help out and/or meet new FIRST people just send me a message and I will get you the information of our meetings.

It turns out that when you go to Michigan Tech you manage to find an FIRST students in almost every class you're in. Ask around, mention FIRST a few times. You'll be amazed at the number of us. Stop by if you're ever in DHH, I should be in next week.

But yeah in all seriousness, Tech is a GREAT place for meeting other FIRST participants. I remember during O-week last year, I wore my 217 shirt one day and got stopped like 5 or 6 times by other FIRSTers. Just wear your team shirt one day (or an IRI shirt or something like that) and you'll get an immediate response.

Hey im a first year student at tech this year as well and so is my roommate both from team 47. Ive seen you in the Wads cafeteria with your shirt on the other day but i was far from you. But yeah i havent worn my shirt up here yet but i have had two people come up to me recognizing me just from one of the competition. Look forward to meeting you. Im in room 240W Wads. Stop by sometime.

As everyone said, there will definitely be other FIRST-ers up there [: The school has such a well-respected engeineering and business program, so it naturally attracts geeks like us :P When I was up there for one of the SYP's this summer, there were about 5 or 6 of us all in the program at once o.O Wearing your team shirt will help a lot [:

Have fun at Tech! It's a pretty awesome school; They even have amazing food; you can't get better than that! (Or at least, DHH does...)

I know who you are talking about, our team has traveled to Atlanta with the Killer Bees the last two years. However I don't know her name. I've meant many people here who have been on other teams just by wearing my shirt around.
