DS crashing

so i got the Driver station set up again, after getting it back from another team. however, it seems to be having little glitches. for example, the screen will flash alot while its booting up (during the kwik byte load), sometimes it'll stop loading and just flash the whole screen, and sometimes it will just freeze once its displayed the information. ive got the newest update for it, so i dont think its a software bug. do you guys think its hardware?

Check the digital I/O pins to make sure none are shorted. If one got bent and the 5 volt lead is shorted to ground the DS will not boot.

they appear to be in the right place, and they arent bent. any other ideas?

Next thing might be a loose power connection. Other than that I would reflash the DS unit.
