View Full Version : Cooperation Award and what it means this year..
Has anyone else noticed that there is a new award titled "Cooperation Award". It goes to the team that has earned the most cooperation bonus points, see section 9 for more details. Since we don't have section 9, does that mean its part of this year's game?

They announced the coopertition award a few weeks ago - http://frcdirector.blogspot.com/2009/12/new-and-news.html
Section 9 is titled "The Tournament". In past years, this has included information on matches, scheduling, the ranking system, game play rules (time outs, yellow/red cards, that sort of thing - nothing game-specific).
This seems to indicate that the coopertition bonus points aren't earned as something specific to the game, but something that is more related to the game/tournament structure we use every year. But the short answer to all of this... We won't know how to earn those points until Saturday.
My personal best guess - they're changing the structure of the game somewhat, giving us 3 alliances on the field at any given time, and you'll have opportunities to work together with inter-alliance combinations to achieve some bigger goal than you could do by yourself.
