Student in the robot (to mentor): So you said that the doohickey goes into the whatchamacallit this way?
Other student: Nah, it's the other way around, dude.
Mentor: No, it's the whatchamacallit into the doohickey, and there's only one way to do it right.
Student in the robot: You mean soldering, crimping, bolting, inserting, welding, gluing, or some combination of the above?
Mentor: Students these days... think they know more than their elders...

Student: See, if we just tweak this support connection here, the whole thing will collapse down into itself, and we'll be able to go through the tunnel.

Mentor thinks: I doubt it, but have fun trying.

Guy holding the camera: What are you doing?! Why are you eating that wire's insulation?!

Guy kneeling: Hey, it tastes good. The whole "death by electrocution" thing is only a minor side effect.

"I am a Supernerd, I can DO this..."
*thought bubble* - I'm doomed.

Teammates - "We should call Superdork, Rich Kressly (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/media/photos/25382), for some advice."
*thought bubbles* - he thinks he's doomed now, heh heh heh.

apologies to Rich - an awesome mentor to students and mentors, and a great sport when it comes to teasing.
