We are planing to make a 6 wheel bot with the center wheels lower. Is there some formula for how lower the wheels in the center need to be? Or is it just as simple as an 1/8th of an inch?

Well if u use the kitbot the middle hole is set for a 6 wheel drive and its drop 1/8th of a inch i believe. My team has use it before and its has a good tilt on it.

Check what? The size of a standard 6 wheel drop?

You can learn a lot about this kind of stuff by using Chief Delphi's Search function. 6 wheel drives are ubiquitous in FIRST.

Anyway, the more drop you have, the more "rock" your chassis has and the less current you draw while turning. I'm sure you can figure it out from there.

Thanks guys, Hito and I are on the same team (REPPIN' 1225 WUT WUT)...... ANYWAY
I am on the chassis team and I was pretty sure it was "just that easy"... If anyone has had experience with it, what has their experience been? Anything that we should know about, or is it not much different than a 4 wheel system?
Thanks!
