communication on new laptop

i cannot get the laptop to comminicate with the c Rio so it says in the drivers station. I canping the crio and the laptop recognizes the cRio but the drivers says no?????
any help would be greatly appreciated.

How are you connected to the cRIO? Direct cable, wifi, or just through the router?

Double check that you have the team number set correctly in the Driver Station. Depending on the network setup it may be possible to ping the cRIO without having a proper IP
