Minesweeper!

Between debugging our camera and waiting for posts in our help-thread, we programmers somehow find the time to play Minesweeper!

(The XP one is so much better than Vista's!)

Anyway, here are our highscores:
Beginner ~ 5 seconds
Intermediate ~ 34 seconds
Expert ~ 101 seconds

Anyone got faster? :p

I cannot beat your high scores. However for my computer science summative, I programmed minesweepers using python (our robot is coded is C++, not python:p ). There's always time for minesweepers!

I can't beat your beginner or intermediate times (~ 2 seconds slower), but I can beat both posted expert times.

95 seconds on expert.

I like to play custom with extra mines in the expert-size field; unfortunately, no time kept for that.

I love Minesweeper (if you mention it to anyone on 1189's design team, they'll laugh and complain about how much I play it). However, my times are currently on a team computer that's no longer in my possession. I don't think that I could beat any of the posted times, but then again, I play using a touchpad :rolleyes:

Heh. I just remembered a bug I found a few years ago. The computer I found it on is no longer in my family, but if I could recreate the mouse settings, I can get 1 second for any level of difficulty. This bug does involve stopping the clock...

Haha! While no one here has managed to beat your high scores (yet!), this did make me laugh with an absurd sense of Deja Vu. Sounds like our programmers here. (Although we're using the one on Windows 7)

My best time on beginner is 7 seconds.
Intermediate is 98 seconds.

I have not tried expert.

Minesweeper is such a great timewaster.

there is actually a way to make the game a little bit more interesting. I never did it but maybe someone else would like to. If you beat all three levels and put you name in as "WRAPFIELD" without the quotes you will unlock a hidden mode. This is a wrap-around mode that adds a twist to this great game.
