View Full Version : Encoder Codewheel Won't Mount on Shaft

Hello,

We are having trouble getting one of our encoders installed onto a Toughbox. Normally, the codewheel of the encoder installs on to the shaft well and sort of "clicks" on, however with one of our Toughboxes the codewheel slides on and doesn't stay secure at all. We have tried different wheels that work fine on our other Toughboxes so we are pretty sure it is some kind of problem with the shaft. Does anyone have any idea what this might be, and if we have to get a new shaft from AndyMark, what part it is?

Thanks

The shaft may have ended up smaller than it is supposed to be preventing the codewheel from being a good tight fit.

The shaft is the output shaft am-0153 (http://www.andymark.biz/am-0153.html).

Thanks. We did what the video suggested with pliers and it seems to work great, but we also put some glue on just to make sure.
