Ball: Now you see it, now you don't. How far does it go?
And just to check because the video might be misleading, how far inside the frame does the ball go?

In the second video its shows to yellow disks that look like suction cups. What are those?

I would go ahead and say they probably are suction cups... Looks like a nice design. Very clean. Nicely done.

Looks like the air cylinder rearms it. That's the arm in between the springs.

If you look at the first video, at the two vertical aluminum tubes, you can see that it doesn't appear to be more than 3 inches.
Looks Kewl.
Looks like a pretty clean design. Is it able to kick the ball over the bumps in the field?

Our design looks very similar. Very simple with the eyehook/string to pull the latch. I dont know why we just didnt do something similar, instead of reweld and remount the whole assembly to clear the bump.
I'm sure this machine will kick balls over the bump, and most likely 2 of them.
**only thing I would be worried about is carrying if somehow the bot momentarily caught air in possession of it.

I assume you are:
1) pressurizing the "extend" chamber of the cylinder to push the kicker into the armed and latched position, and then
2) releasing the air pressure from the "extend" cylinder chamber with a valve, and then
3) releasing the latch to kick.
May I ask what sort of control valve you are using to release the pressure from the "extend" chamber of the cylinder? It is not shown in the video. Is it the KoP 1/8" NPT .32Cv solenoid valve with .160 tubing, or do you have something non-standard in there?
