Hi. My team has a broken Linksys Dual-Band Wireless-N Gaming Adapter
(WGA600N). This is the only radio allowed by the FIRST rules. However, Linksys stopped making this adapter in favor of the WET610N Dual-Band Wireless-N Ethernet Bridge. FIRST did not respond to emails asking whether or not the new model is acceptable. The FIRST replacements page isn't useful, either, because the website of where to buy replacement radios is out of stock permanently. Any ideas would be useful.
Thanks =)

The FIRST blessed alternative is a WET610N
<R58 (http://www.team358.org/files/first_search/index.php?inpl=R&inp=58)> One KOP wireless bridge (either model WGA600N or WET610N) is the only permitted mechanism for communicating to and from the ROBOT during the MATCH. The signal output from the wireless bridge must be directly connected to Port 1 of the cRIO-FRC with an Ethernet cable. All signals must originate from the OPERATOR CONSOLE and/or the Field Management System, and be transmitted to the ROBOT via the official ARENA hardware. No other form of wireless communications shall be used to communicate to, from or within the ROBOT (e.g. radio modems from previous FIRST competitions and Bluetooth devices are not permitted on the ROBOT during competition).
hope this helps http://forums.usfirst.org/showthread.php?t=13924

The WET610n is widely available, either from most Best Buys or online. The best place would be the one that is the cheapest that gets it to you when you need it.

Is the configuration (IP addressing to your team number) of the "newer" radio the same as the "older" radio?

If you have last year's WGA600N, then the default address is 192.168.1.250
If you have a new WET610N, then the default address is 169.254.1.250
Otherwise, you setup the FRC IP address the same, e.g., 10.xx.yy.1

Thanks a lot! I was trying to use the old IP until I realized it might be a different set up...
Thanks again.
