According to cubestat.com, chiefdelphi.com is worth more money than usfirst.org. I found that very comical.:D :D :D

I think that's because CD generates ad revenue and USFIRST doesn't. That and forums are inherently more accessed and thus more valuable than standalone pages.

CD actually almost costs as much as Kettering's website! I think this could be fun, try to find all bigger websites you know of that CD's worth almost matches.

Interesting, I wonder how they calculate this... www.penfieldrobotics.com is worth more than CD or usfirst.org?!?!
We certainly dont have any actual Ads on our site, but it appears to go by daily views somewhat??
Penfieldrobotics:
Website Worth: $18,378.48
Daily Pageviews: 8,392
Daily Ads Revenue: $25.18
CD:
Website Worth: $14,977.41
Daily Pageviews: 6,839
Daily Ads Revenue: $20.52
usfirst:
Website Worth: $10,422.21
Daily Pageviews: 4,759
Daily Ads Revenue: $14.28
I can personally vouch for the value of http://www.penfieldrobotics.com
It is worth the value Kim reported and more. FRC2493 could not have developed our fundraising program this year without the resources from their site.

Looks like the website worth is about 2 years of the ad revenue that they get per day.
I checked another forum that I frequent, and it was worth about $190k :ahh:

forums.usfirst.org is worth more than chiefdelphi.com, though. Nyah. ;)
hollandchaos.com is only worth about $81...

I find it interesting that teamkrunch.com is worth (to the nearest whole dollar) 79 dollars.

Wow happy we could help... Im still on the hook for updating our Rookie Resources page that is linked by FIRST's site since I have all the documentation, but I will get there soon I promise!! lol.
So I did a little digging (well my husband the web-guy did!), and it turns out the value of our website comes from our leadership content. If you search Google for "10 qualities of a good leader" our site is the first google hit. Several other leadership searches leave us as the 3rd, 4th or 5th google hit!
I guess the "value" of the sites is determined by separate search engine type hits, and separate distinct visitors (not number of visits). While CD certainly has many more visitors than any of our sites, its all the same visitors and all probably typing in "chief delphi" in google, or just linking off their bookmarks.
Interesting :) Keep plugging away making valuable websites!!

Count this post as ill-meaningful, but I just thought I would throw this out there: When I first read the topic title, I thought you were talking about actual usage and how many people access the site, nothing dealing with the actual revenue. Although my thoughts, according to the numbers I saw, are indeed looking pretty accurate. In all honesty, I prefer coming to CD rather than going on FIRST to find any sort of info I need for the team, anything.
