We need to replace an Axis 206 camera power supply we might have borrowed and cut for use on our robot . I found this retailer selling something with the same model number as listed on the support site.

However, I found a thread saying this is the correct adapter: SA106A-0512-6

This is only available from CodeMicro for a considerably higher price. Does anyone have any suggestions for buying a replacement supply?

There is a power adapter that comes in the axis box. It has a coax cable that is hard to adapt to the wago connectors on the power distribution board. Thus, teams were provided with a SA106A-0512-6 which is much easier to plug into the power distribution board.

You should still have the original power supply around somewhere, but if not, there isn't any reason to buy the SA106A-0512-6 for wall power.
