We are looking at how to wire our solenoids to our solenoid breakout. We have the connections to the solenoid itself correct. However, we are trying to figure out how to connect the other end of the wires to the pins on the solenoid breakout (the one that is inserted into the slot on the cRio). Do we try to put the wires in the little white jumpers in the KoP and then the jumpers connect to the pins on the breakout or is there another connector we are suppose to be using?

With our solenoid we took a 3 pin PWM cable and connected 2 of the wires to the 2 wires coming from the solenoid. After that we cut the 3rd PWM cable off (The one we were not using) and connected it to the relay pins on the Pneumatics bumper/Solenoid Breakout. I think this is what you are asking... Sorry if I am wrong!

Ok yes this is what we are asking but what do you mean when you say...
connected 2 of the wires to the 2 wires coming from the solenoid.
Where did you connect them? Did you twist the wires together and then use wire nuts or did you somehow jam them into the connector itself?

The KOP came with a bundle of 2-pin cables.
Cut one of these in half and you have two connectors suitable for connecting solenoids to the Solenoid Breakout.

That would be the correct way of doing it, I guess my electrical members are too lazy to find those cables, and somehow making new ones are easier. Good luck with your solenoid!

Can someone post a pic of what we're talking about? I am a visual learner and it would be really helpful...
Thanks!

The 2-pin cables are gray and have female connectors on both ends.
They are the gray cables all the way in the bottom right of this photograph

Found the gray cables. Thanks for the help! :D
It would still be nice to have a complete diagram  of which side goes where, and if the cables on both ends have to be twisted together, etc. Is there such an image to see what it would look like on the bench?
Thanks
PS We have the new Festo valves, and I think the valves have to move in unison, right?

Don't call your mentors lazy - they're there as volunteers. If you really want the cables, and your mentors are too busy to find them, go look for them yourself.

He did write "members", as in 'team members', at least that's how I read it. FWIW
