I have tried to install the update many times, but the dashboard is still in 2009 version. Any advise?

Have you uninstalled it and then installed it? There is a bug in the installer.

How would you uninstall? Is it called National Instrumants? Or is it somethiung else?

The easiest (maybe the only way) is to run the installer again and tell it to uninstall.
