By this, I mean diagrams that describe how the pneumatics system is set up on the electrical board and some examples of how it's implemented.

Are we to assume that you have already downloaded and read the Pnuematics Manuel (http://www.usfirst.org/uploadedFiles/Community/FRC/Game_and_Season__Info/2010_Assets/2010%20Pneumatics%20Manual%20Rev%20-.pdf) on the FIRST site? It has pictures of basic set-ups for all the components just not on a robot.

We have some examples here (http://www.team358.org/files/pneumatic) too.

I've read the Pneumatics Manual, and I'm still trying to wrap my mind around it. We used pneumatics in our first year of Robotics, but because we only put the stuff on the robot, we never really used it beyond the first year.

Some help would be great for my team, too. We have the air down pat, but the wiring of the new Festo solenoids have me bummed out. Any help here?

Thanks

We have had the same question for a week and have made some headway but not much. I have sent an email to Festo for help and will post back when I hear from them...

The new Festo valves need 24v. To get this, you must wire your Solenoid breakout board to the cRio 24v supply instead of the normal 12v supply. If you need 12v solenoids also, you can have a solenoid module on slot 7 and slot 8, one on 12v and 24v. To wire the solenoid module to the new solenoids, you use the two-pin cables (like PWM cables except with two wires) between the pins on the solenoid and the pins o the solenoid module.
