hey everybody,

here's my problem; I want to program a spike to turn on when I press a button on the joystick, I've looked through all the tutorials but can't find anything on how to control spikes

any one have any ideas?

also, how do I program the joystick buttons?
I know this seems like really basic stuff but this is my first year programing and I have NO IDEA what I'm doing, so very basic instructions would be appreciated

Thanks

What language are you using? Spikes are Relays, that may help get you in the right direction. I know the Labview code refers to them as relays, not Spikes.

I think there is an example you can get to from the LabVIEW Getting Started page in the lower right corner ("more...").

Here (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=8478&d=1265156994) is a relay example for when you have a motor or double solenoid driven by a Spike. This does forward and reverse, but you can change "reverse" to "off" if you like.

Here (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showpost.php?p=917922&postcount=2) is how you get buttons out of a joystick.
