The title pretty much sums it up. If I suddenly floor the robot to a fast speed and try to stop it instantly. The communications with the robot is lost and I have to go and turn the robot on and off to get it to start working again. I was thinking maybe its the adapter on the router that is messing up the communications or maybe its the code I have in?
Any ideas? Feel free ask any questions! Thanks.

You probably have the wireless router on the robot getting power from a normal 12v connection, instead of it's special 12v connection at the end of the power distribution panel, near the cRio power connection

What does the battery voltage do when this happens? Does this also happen when the robot's wheels aren't touching the ground?
Where does the wireless bridge get its power?

Besides the aforementioned power issues, the some gameport adapter power connectors show a sensitivity to vibration. Try running the robot over a small bump (like a wooden dowel) and see if it is an issue for you. If so, strain relief the connector.

Thanks for the advice we attached the adapter to the correct area and it works fine. We can go at any speed.
Mike Betts thanks for the advice you gave because we just went of a bump and I slammed the bot down pretty hard and the adapter shut off. We will strain relief the connectors tomorrow.
