View Full Version : Robot Signal Light long on / short off?
I'm in our shop today, once again helping to debug a currently unkown problem with our robot. Our RSL is flashing a long/short pattern when enabled in teleoperated. I found a list of RSL patterns here:
http://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-3120
However, I can't find anything that indicates what long on / short off means.
Anybody have an answer?
Thanks!

That post is form last year, and while mostly correct, a steady light with short off period was added to indicate tele enabled. I don't have the code in front of me, so it could be auto enabled instead. Anyway, this is an expected pattern.

I've added a comment to the page you referenced. Unfortunately I don't seem to have access to acctually edit the page and make it current.

Did you wire the light correctly? La and Lb should be bridged, in addition to being the positive. While not explicitly stated in text, in the power distribution wiring diagram (http://www.usfirst.org/uploadedFiles/Community/FRC/Game_and_Season__Info/2010_Assets/2010_Robot_Power_Distribution_RevA.pdf), it shows how the light should be wired.

The new blink pattern is documented in chapter 1 of the control system manual. The La/Lb jumper is required by <R59>.
