We decided that one of our four Autonomous codes should reflect a little more on the entertainment side. How about a little pirouette?

Best autonomous mode ever!
That was amazing! Your robot does not even need a kicker! I am going to favorite that video right now.
On the rear, is that a wheel for driving or part of the kicker?

That is our "5th" wheel. It allows us to literally spin on a dime.
We do have a kicker on the front and can score reliably with it from zones 1 and 2. We can even score from zone 3 if the moon and stars align just right. :p

We believe it is capable of about 10'/sec but have never measured it. We are using the KOP standard drive train.

Nice technique! We can offer ours as a dancing partner. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrclvlnJ8sQ&feature=channel

Super, the reason I was asking was we had created a 7th wheel for Lunacy (http://wiki.team1640.com/index.php?title=7th_Wheel) that was one of the reasons we won the Rockwell Control Award at Chesapeake. The wheel goes up and down to contact the floor. In our case with it down we could also spin, causing the moon rock trailer to snap out of the sights of a dumper. We were one of the lowest scored on teams last year.
Good luck with the 5th wheel, it's a cool kicker idea!
